Is it safe to put my two bunnies outside in an xpen ( or some other kind of pen) while I do the mother of all cleanings in the office including disinfecting their cage palace and steam cleaning the carpet??

I've NEVER taken them outside so I'm stressing over the possibilities of one or both of them escaping or some predatory vulture bird having one for lunch!

It's either outside on the lawn or lock them in one of the bathrooms....

I think I'd choose the bathroom, unless you can firmly secure a cover to the outdoor pen, But you really should try that when you can watch what happens for the period of time you'd be absent for the cleaning. I mainly was thinking about escaping by climbing, but maybe they could dig out in that amount of time,so I guess that leaves the bathroom. And all residue of the cleaning products should be steamed out, so they won't get poisoned when they're returned.
