Oh brother what a week!
Three Bunnies and three migraines.
Cleo a normally docile bunny, refuses to bond with the baby,Gracie. I think that if Cleo was a meat eater, Gracie wouldbe her meal. We have tried all the suggested bondingtechniques, but to no avail. Poor little Gracie, doesn't knowwhat hit her. So needless to say they have to be let outseparately. Cleo does not like to return to her cage, when itis not bedtime, so she puts up quite a fight and chase. Pezon the other hand loves Cleo to bits (more so because he is notneutered yet) and will not leave Cleo's side, which frustrates Cleo tothe nth degree. He is not always trying to mate with her..cuz she won't have nothing to do with that, besides she is spayed, andnips him when he tries. Poor old Cleo, she looks so exhaustedsometimes. Lately she has taken to sleeping in my bed, wellactually no one gets any sleep! LOL She wants to be rubbedand when I drift off she decides I should be groomed.Sincethe new arrival of Gracie the second cage is now being used so Pez andCleo have shared one, which had been a good arrangement untilthis week. Pez is upset cuz Cleo is not in the cage and tearsthe cage up everynight. The cages are in the bedroom, so Ihave to sleep with earplugs LOL. Oh the joys of parenthood, Ithought I gave all that up when my daughter got married!
So, my question is how long does Pez's "heat" last.. is it an ongoingthing until he is neutered, or am I gonna have a bunnie in my bed atnight until then?
Thanks,
Susan
