hi all

just wondered if anyone is recieving mail that says your email has

not been sent then their is a list of email address that havnt been registered

varna xxxx

Sounds like scam to me, Varna. I would not respond in any way but to delete.

Both my wife and I reeived something like that and when she responded it too all the names in her contacts list and sent the same message to everyone on the list.

I recently got two very excellent looking requests from EBay to update my PayPal account. EBay should not request that information in the name of PayPal. The information requested was my EBay identity,PayPal identity, pass words, PIN number and credit card information.

I knew it was a phoney when I gave the window the most atrociousidentity name and pass word I could think of.

Be careful.

Oh my gosh Buck! the same thing has beenhappening to me!! :shock:I've been getting email from Paypal, which i just used Once, saying I've added a new address. I goto their website to delete it, but they always ask to "verify" myaccount info. I told my boyfriend about it, and he said justto delete it. I thought i was the only one! Thanksfor the info!

In the past I have received the same email frompaypal. Paypal did send out a notice that they will not everask for account info, passwords pin # etc. If you ever getanother one like that contact paypal as they were at one time askingfor those emails to be forwarded to them. I was at first abit upset that they would be doing that as it shouldnt be commonpractice for any company to ask for such personal info in aemail.

Thanks for the advice CMiska. I willtry to do that next time. I agree that it is a bit out of theordinary for such a big well known company to practice something kindaunsafe and suspicious.

Interesting re: the Pay pal. That happened to metoo !(prior to becoming a member.) What alerted me to it being a scamis that I do not even have a Pay Pal account!!!

The emails in foreign languages are a result ofa virus. The emails you are getting do not contain ithowever, so just delete it. Someone with the virus has youraddress in their address book.

We are experiencing this at work as well....

Sometimes its good to have a geek on the boards... ;)
