I went to Southern Ireland last week for a riding holiday and visited the Irish National stud while there - something I have always dreamed of doing! I took hundreds of photos so I thought you guys would like to see some.:)

Some of the mares and foals:

I loved these two, the mum started eating off the tree so her little foal started copying her!

more to come...

And finally I had to post these, I swear these horses live better than we do!

Where the Stallions live:

The mares and foals courtyard (I couldn't believe they had their own fountain!)

And I couldn't get many pics of the stallions, and the ones I did were super - zoomed so aren't very good as they are kept far away from the public (they are very valuable and very dangerous!:?) but I had to get this shot of Indian Daze, the son of the infamous Indian Ridge who also stood at stud here when he was alive.

I think my eyes got six times the size when I saw this thread. How gorgeous are they ?

I love horses and I miss being around them very much. I love these horse threads :).

Thanks guys, it was so amazing there and all the horses were so beautiful.:inlove: It's strange to think those awkward little foals will be race horses in a few years!:DAlso I think I got the stallions name wrong, I believe he is called Indian Haven not Indian Daze.:blushan::p
