Hi,

My name is Sandy. Ihave been a rabbit ower off and on for the last 30 years. Rabbits make great pets. I will be getting a Flemish Giant baby in the spring.:) I accidently bought my 1stone of this kindat the Humane Society. I had never heard of the breed before. To my suprise, he grew and grew and grew, until he was 18 pounds. He was the most gentle, sweet, beautiful rabbitI had ever owned. When he died several years agoI was heartbroken. So I can't wait to get another!!! I will also be getting baby chicks this spring for the 1st time. I actually heard about your forum from a "backyard chickens" website member.I live in St. Paul, Minnesota. I am the married mom of 4 and grandmom of 2. I have 2 German Shepards, 1 Chiauhua, 2 cockatiels, 1 canary, and 20 large pond goldfish.

Are all of you "wabbits" Flemish Giants. Do you know where I can get one? I just happen to get lucky when I found "nutmeg" at the Humane society. Alot of people have never heard of them before.

Only four of them now. I lost two of them suddenly this past fall. I have a black buck and doe and a blue buck and doe.

My only suggestion would be to check the American Rabbit Breeders Association http://www.arba.net and look in the breeders section and see if there is a breeder near you or see if there is a show nearby, someone may some there.

They are such wonderful rabbits, I am trying to get some babies from my two pairs but not much luck yet. It amazes people when I tell them I have 20 pound plus rabbits. My flemish are as big as my neighbors dog!:)
