My name is Emma and I live in Baltimore Maryland. Right now I have 6 rabbits: Button, my first rabbit, her daughter Remington, a stray I named Haley, my first pedigreed brood doe, Halle, and two ofHalle's sons, Briar and Bailey. Haley, Halle, Briar, and Bailey (yes I know, it could not be much more confusing) are all Mini Rex. Button is a netherland-something and Remington is a cross of Button and the now-deceased Doodles who was a Mini Rex x. Polish Dwarf.
I dabble in breeding pet Mini Rex. I have never shown and have no plans to do so in the future but I like to help new owners learn more about rabbits and I love seeing children (with the help of their parents)taking on the responsibility of a new pet.
I have tons of other interests besides rabbits (not that rabbits aren't important, but they're part of a big list!)... horses are my main focus right now (main reason that I am not breeding currently) because I was entrusted with a pony to train for my school and I spend as much time as possible with her.I also have a dog (Sterling)and a cat (Leo) and I petsit everything from the usual (dogs and cats) to the slightly unusual (geckos, cockatiels, tree frogs) when I get a chance. This summer I worked at my school's summer camp (with the horses of course) and, through a long train of events, was given a baby quail. Unfortunately she died but in the meantime I named her Pigwidgeon (hence the screenname) and was quite fond of her . At my school I am the Vice President (will be President soon!) of our animal welfare club and I am the main one responsible for organizing our annual event.
I also enjoy web design, art in many ways (both the making and appreciating thereof), reading, writing, 'rithmetic (well, only sorta--but I am a huge fan of algebra), drawing house and barn plans, swimming in lakes and ponds, and photography. I have no siblings and play the piano grudgingly.I hope to go to Greece when I turn 18 and help train ponies at a special breeding farm I learned about.
Is there anything else... hmm, no, I don't think so...
