I was contacted by a women who helps, in a big way, a small animal rescue. They had a bad case from a feeder breeder and ended up with multiple piggies, all females are pregnant. I offered to foster and thought I was going to get to but todayI found out they finely got a building to rent as a shelter type deal for housing the animals insted of totally relying on fosters. I may foster a rabbit, I will find out next week if they need me once the 15 rabbits come in.

So, she contacted me in the first place about two male piggies needing a home. As far as I know they are not housed together, as of yet, but are both young and hopefully will bond. Since I will not be fostering I will be adopting these two. I would had done both but they have a policey that outside fosters(besides the the lady I have been in contact with and the rescue owner) are only allowed one gender of guinea pig in their house due to inability to neuter around here.

So, these are my boys:

The black boy came from the feeder breeder, his sire had mange and is very agressive - unadoptable. Not sure on his mom. He has a sister. The other boy I do not remember if she said he was from the same person or not. She has told me so much I can not keep it all in my head ;)

I will be meeting Crystal tomarrow at petsmart in lexington. I will be taking some toys for the rescue animals in her care. I am very excited!

It took me FOREVER but I finely got the thing set up. It is almost as big as my bed! Mom was like... it takes up half your room o.o haha.

Top level is Steve-o and Wee Man's, middle and bottom is Dillan's. I plan to give the boy's a shelf but I get infuriated when I deal with the cage so I am putting it off for a bit.

Steve-o acts like he is use to a wild household, luckly. He readily comes out and eats, looks around, when I cough he does not act like he is being shot. Wee Man is the total opposite.

Steve-o has already let Wee Man know he is the top dog. I only have one igloo and Steve-o bites little Wee when he goes into it if Steve-o was in first. So I got a small pop box and put in so he could have a spot to hide when Steve-o is being a butt-o.

Since they have been here Steve-o has ate almost non-stop. I can tell he is fatter tonight than he was lastnight, eek! The only thing they do not seem to like is cilontro.

The alfalfa hay and orchard grass are big hits with all three of them, it is the only thing Wee Man will come out for when i am around. Dillan loves the alfalfa better than anything, since I started it yesterday she has really slacked off on her pellets. I ended up having todrop a green feeding to get her to eat her pellets.I can not readily get the alfalfa and orchard grass it so I am not free feeding them, just a little twice a day.

Yes, someone should.

Do you know any nice, level-headed, active piggy forums?

Wee Man injoying the new, homemade, cozy sack I made. They where unsure of it for a few hours, but he finely decided to try it out!

Guinea pigs poop a lot :sweepI could clean twice a day and it still be dirty, I am doing it once at the moment so not to stress them to much.

Steve-o has gained SOO much weight. I do not know how much but I swear he went from thin and you could slightly feel his pelvic bones to Mr. Chubs! I do not know what he was being fed but whatever it was he perfers what I am feeding it seems. He eats a lot but still not loads because they have had greens all day and not finished them.

I'm on a piggy breeding forum, friendliest one I can find lol! I was on a pet one before when I was thinking about getting guinea pigs and someone had an accidental litter, poor girl was lucky to come out of the thread with her life, never again!

I love the little black guy. He looks so mad with all his hair:)
I find when I have a guinea question I rather come here to ask as I've come across some rather opinionated people with piggies on other forums. I might have a look at that link

I recently won a pregnant Silkie Sow in a raffle. I was not told she was pregnant when I entered the raffle. Only during BIS judging at the show, she says something about her being possibly pregnant. Needless to say, I was not too happy. I knew NOTHING about these guys. I told my self she wasn't but sure enough, she has blimped up and can barely get out of her little house. :foreheadsmack:

You can feel the little tykes moving around... Funnily enough, she's still got at least two weeks to go before she has them.

Anyway, congrats on your little guys! They sure are cute.
