As many of you may remember - we adopted Millie a few weeks ago....and I've really enjoyed having her (once we got her used to the idea that she needs to leave the bunnies alone). However, she seemed so sad sometimes....lonely. Our other dog is much older and wanted nothing to do with her.

Last Wednesday, I stopped by Tractor Supply to check their Schleich (sp?) animals...wound up buying myself some puppies...and was walking out the door when Robin and I saw Sasha and her sister in a cage....to be given away for free. Someone else wanted Sasha's sister....but Sasha....well...I just sorta fell in love with her.

Since we've brought her home - Millie has been SOOO happy. I must admit - its not easy having TWO puppies at once....frustrating at times. But the girls have so much fun together....that it just seems worth it. Art really likes Sasha (I do too)- and I have a slightly stronger bond with Millie.

Without further ado...here's Sasha...

Oh - and I've promised Art "NO MORE DOGS".....

(He didn't say anything about kitties....). :biggrin2:

Sasha is so, so cute! Congratulations on your new addition.

Millie and Sasha look like they'd be so cute together. I just want to snuggle them both and give them each about a zillion kisses on their cute little noses!

Okay, I'm done now...

Awww, Sasha is SOOOO cute! We need pics of her and Millie playing together! :biggrin2:

I really want a dog now... I really miss having one about the place...

Oh. My. Gosh. Sasha is the cutest puppy EVER! Millie is very adorable, too, but together... I think I might die. I need two puppies!!! I'm glad you brought Sasha home so Millie won't be lonely. What kind of doggie is Sasha? She looks like a mix of course, but how big will she get? Congrats on the cuteness invading your home!

She's a cutie.
I'd guess she's some kind of shepherd mix, but it'd be interesting to see how she grows up.

I was at the store today and they had this big stuffed puppy - almost Millie's size. I almost bought her to bring home and carry in the door and say to Art, "I'm sorry...I know you said no more puppies...but I couldn't resist...".

I just couldn't bring myself to tease the guy though...but he laughed when I told him about my idea!

I have no idea what breed/mix Sasha is...

Oh they are both adorable...I miss the sound of little puppy feet :( My 2 are almost 8 & 5.

I love the joke you almost played on your husband, I did something similar to my BF last night. We were in Home Depot and there was a bunny statue on clearance so I grabbed it and told him "I know that you said 3 was my limit, but he's SO cute and I've already named him....his name is Rocky." So now Rocky is greeting all who come to my front door. I got my fourth one, haha :)

Oh boy! You ARE brave with 2 of them! LOL! So cute tho!

You do sound like me - Hubby was so angry with me over Diesel, but I said "YOU SAID NO MORE BUNNIES! and nothing about kitties!" :biggrin2:

Both girls are ADORABLE! How's potty training going? Can I venture a guess as to their mixes (as I can't resist)? Sasha looks like a shepardXlab, and I'd bet a good amount of money on Millie being boarder collieXlab. Or I'm completely wrong and they're mixes of mixes of mixes and that's just what they look like. There's not definite way to know (the DNA test is just an educated guess). When people used to ask us whatkind of dog(Darla Mae) was we'd reply "She's our kind of dog." and that's all that really matters. (We had guessed that she was beagle, Jack, and some sort of bully dog. We did the DNA test and we were mostly right. She's a lot percent Boston Terrier [they used to be called Boston Bulldogs. I'm not sure if that used to be their actual name or it was just what people nick named them] Beagle, and Belgian Sheepdog [we're not sure where this came from, as that's not exactly a popular dog and she came from the rural mountians of NC...but we figure that's why the test is inconclusive])

Back on track now. Both babies are adorable and it's so great that they can grow up together. We did that with our lab and dane they were inseperable and so cute together. I wish for them to have that kind of bond.

We have no idea what Sasha is besides "cute"....Millie is 1/2 border collie and 1/2....I forget. I have it listed somewhere on the forum from when we first got her - I want to say its golden lab or something. I'll find it later and share.

Art was NOT thrilled with me for getting either of the dogs...and he was especially not happy w/ me for getting Sasha since we had Millie.

YET....Sasha is his favorite of the two (she's Robin's favorite too) and Millie is my favorite. Millie is just so much happier now with Sasha here....(as is Lady when the two will leave her alone).

Art & I did some talking and I did some soul-searching and this is gonna sound bad.....but I think that there is a part of me that was searching for someone to love (and that would love me back) like Tiny.

I've figured out that adding all the dogs, cats (which I haven't added) or rabbits....isn't going to do that. Ok...maybe adding Ori will...

But Art says I have to stop "rescuing" animals because before we know it - someone will have to rescue us.

And potty training is going pretty good - not the best - but much better than it was before!

Sasha would definitely be called a shepherd mix at our animal shelter, but almost every puppy gets labeled a shepherd mix there.
Like I said though, post more pictures as she grows and we can get a better idea.

Peg, Sasha is adorable! You are brave! I don't think I could housebreak and train 2 puppies at the same time! LOL! (One is driving me nuts!)

More Photo's PLEASE?

Awww, they're both gorgeous. Glad you have TWO puppies now to entertain eachother :) That's a lot of work though, good luck :biggrin2:

Millie has a very interesting look to her... her slim tail and face... almost gives her a sort of greyhoundish look, interesting.

Aw shucks....sounds like I'm going to need to use my NEW camera to take more photos.....what with y'all twisting my arm like this...(so that's why it hurts! I fell on it yesterday and actually went for Xrays today - I got painkillers at least..).

Seriously though - I'll try to take more pics soon. All three dogs were standing together today and Art looked at them and went, "Wow...we have dogs in all 3 sizes...small, medium & large...".

I was good. I never offered anything about "How about if we get an extra large?"

The poor man has put up with enough from me already...
