Hiya ,

I was wondering if anyone could help us with a problem we have recently come across . We have brought a new baby rabbit recently and have tried to introduce her to our other rabbit . We tried something which my auntie came across on the net , where you put the new rabbit in a box so that the other rabbit gets her scent . The problem is that our new rabbit escaped and our other rabbit charged at her , and we had to get her away a bit quick . We really want them to become friends , so does anyone have any suggestions on what we can do ?

Anything would be very much appreciated .

Thanks x

You need to introduce them somewhere neutral - where neither rabbit has been before. Rabbits are very defencive of their territory so if you put one rabbit into anothers house before they've made friends they'll attack each other.

Lil Angel, I highly recommend having a vet or an experienced breeder tell you what gender your rabbits are before you introduce them! Otherwise you might up with unplanned babies. Also, spay/neuter is very important. Both to prevent babies and to calm aggressive, hormonal rabbits.

If you want your rabbits to be friends, read this site and follow it's instructions. And go slow. Rushing things will only hurt your rabbits.
