Today wereleased Sherman from hisquarantineroom and introduced him to our other cats. He seems a bit overwhelmed both by the space he now has and seeing so many other cats. He is doing better than I expected.

Some of the cats are totally ignoring him - one glance and they keep on walking. Some are keeping their distance and staring, some are approaching and they go through this growling, hissing, posturing and then walk away. So far, there have been no skirmishes, just a few raised paws as a warning.

The look on his face is priceless - it says he is expecting trouble and surprised when he doesn't get it. He keeps making a big circle all around the house and through the rooms. He hasn't been up to the 2nd floor yet. He has sniffed all the litter boxes and checked out the food bowls. The TV scares him and makes him nervous. He is being a good boy and letting us pick him up when we need to and not being aggressive at all.

Oops, spoke too soon,,,, Sherman just went upstairs, met Oscar and chased him downstairs and around the house. We need a little kitty time out.
