Was just wondering, if I was to try and bond a trio of rabbits would it be best to:

1.Bond CJ(male) with an established doe pair.
2. Bond CJ(male) with a single doe, then add another rabbit to the group later on (doe or buck).
or 3. Bond CJ(male) to an established doe-buck pair.

?

Thanks in advance

I don't know half as much as everybody else about bonding, but I have read that it is easiest to bring a doe home to a male.
My guess would be (most likely) Is that if you already had two does bonded, maybe both would want CJ? You already established a female-female bond, so would there be as much jealousy between them over CJ? don't know...
I don't think CJ would bond to another male as readily as he would to females (higher chance of dominance issues).

Not like I know though... All I know is Slatey (my male) would not take to a little, passive male...

What I personally did (unintentionally, just worked that way with bonding) was a dominant, bossymale/friendly female who can be slightly bossy. Then I added a very submissive, gentle female, and they clicked together. Poppy liked Jas because she wasn't a threat against Bruno, and she would be 'below her' in status.. and Bruno just enjoyed another female to love!

Depending on CJ's personality, I personally think the best trio mix is at least one gentle, quiet and submissive rabbit, and the other two that have already bonded. When I tried bonding two rabbits with strong personalities, was a lot of clashing.

Like Spring said, it really depends on the rabbits' personalities. Any bossy bunny is going to be hard to bond to anyone but the most submissive of bunnies. We tried for months to make Benjamin and Tony get along so we could have a trio, but it never worked out. Tony is very dominant--we had a hard time finding him a girlfriend in the first place--and Muffin is very submissive. Benjamin is in the middle, which is why Tony doesn't like him. He needs SLAVES! From my experiences, I would not go with any of them (least of all #3), but would try to introduce them all to each other at the same time. Why do you want 3 and not 2 or 4? We've decided that 4 (or 2 2's if the whole-group bonding doesn't work out) is better than 3 ourselves.
