Hi Everyone!

My name is Sarah, 21 years old, and the proud owner of 2 rabbits Luigi and Lucy. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania but I currently am in France. I was paralyzed from the stomach down because of a very rare diease called Acute Transverse Myelitis. I am confined to a wheelchair for the rest of my life, but my rabbits seem to like the free rides around the house.

Steve was my first rabbit that I got. I got him because a friend could not take care of him anymore. When I got him, he was severly neglected, the hair from his front paw was matted to his face, so he did not move much. But after an hour of shaving, my mother and I got him to be a very youthful rabbit! He was an angora and had to wear a shirt from a babydoll for a month because his skin was very bad because of the mats. But he lived his life out very happily after that. After he died, I dedicated the void to a new rabbit that needed love.

Now, I currently have 2 rabbits:Luigi and Lucy. (Not sure how to add pictures yet)

Lucy is a 4 year old rescue bunny. She is all black and I believe a standard Rex. She weighs 11lbs (she has always had a weight problem haha). I chose her because she was the rabbit that was at the shelter the longest. It turns out she is a great rabbit once she comes out of her shell! She loves to play fetch and throw things. She refuses to eat vegis but LOVES fruit. She does not like the outdoors and would rather just be allowed to run around the room while I watch TV.

Luigi is a very tricky one. He is only a few months old and is a Hotot. We are not sure if he is a dwarf or not but he is about 2.5lbs now. We are trying to introduce different fruits and vegis but he does not seem interested. He loves toilet paper rolls! We are having a very difficult time trying to litter train him because he prefers to sleep in his litterbox instead. He loves to climb on everything and see how high he can jump on things. Luigi has not met Lucy yet but there are no plans of breeding (Lucy is spayed).

Everyone have a great day!

Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

I look forward to seeing pictures of your bunny's. I have some instructions on posting pictures at the end of this post. I like it that you picked the bunny who was at the shelter the longest. Just out of curiosity, how did you end up in France? Long way from Pennsylvania.

Many bunny's recommend their slaves to this site so we may learn of others methods to keeping our furry masters happy.

If you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

I have listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.

I am glad you have joined rabbits online and I look forward to seeing you around.
