Insect problems with food???

I buy Purina Rabbit Chow Show Formula for my rabbits because my girlfriends uncle owns a Purina store and I get it for cost. I've gone through (3) 40 lbs bags ( i think thats how big they are) and the last bag there are small brown beetles or flys in it. I threw it all away but i was wondering does this sound like something that came in the bag or from my apartment and got in the food??

It's hard to say..
did you find the insects in any other food items in your apt.?

Whatever .......it's the best thing to just get rid of it...and check future bags

i did get rid of all the food and they arnt in my food (flower, sugar, pasta boxes, ect) they were getting infested bad for a while but ive used a 3M lent roller to catch and kill them and i havent seen them for a few days so im thinking it was the chow. maybe there was a hole in the sack some where but im still wondering though if this has happened to anyone else's rabbit's dry food so i know befour i call an exterminator and have to pay for all of that....

I think that your girlfriends uncle would have had bags returned to the store.

yeah but its not that big a deal i used about half before i noticed them any way but i did tell him about the flys
