Inside. Not only is the weather odd, but there are cats (had a close cal with one once). I am also too lazy to really go outside and interact with them on a daily basis. It is more fun to have indoor bunnies. I do let them outside for supervised time.
Jamie lives in the living room. during late sept. through may he spends most of his day free range on the(10 x 10 ft)back porch, which is screened in. his cage goes out with him and i check on him several times. he gets lots of exercise, fresh air and sunshine, etc. but when it rains/gets to cold/hot he can come in side. and during the summer months he goes out from 5-8 or 9 pm. it works really well for us
Inside, although Sherbert lived the first 6 months outside. She is the first rabbit I have had inside and I have had rabbits my whole life. You definatly don't form the bond like you do when they are in side. Every rabbit I had growing up was not social at all they would growl and try to box you with their front feet. I will never have rabbits outside again.
Inside only. I, personally, wouldn't be able to properly care for an outside rabbit. I wouldn't see the point in having them because I wouldn't be able to spend hours a day outside.
