I'm sooo upset

I adopted 2 guiena pigs from the humane socitey and i've been letting them get used to me. But today I took them out of the cages to let them play. Im kinda upset that i didn't notice it untill now but both of them toe nails are so long they have curl up. When my boyfriend gets home i'm going have him help me cut them and i'll take photos. I just can't believe that they would not have cut them while they where at the shelter.

Usually Guinea Pigs are good about toe clips too. At least all of mine have been!

Just be glad they are with you now and won't be mistreated again!

I'm not sure they will like it. I'll try and wrap them up in a towel. Like i do for my bunnys. I don't think they where ever handled. I'm no sure they where ever given veggies either. Should see them when I give them some. They get so excited.

The way we trimmed Pig's feet is that Lexi held him like a bunny back to your chest, one hand under the rump and one under the front legs with a finger between the legs on his chest. Not much they can do other than sit there LOL!

yea she is going to need a bath. sugar has stuff caked on a few of the nails so it's hard to see where to trim them at. I'll try that idea.
