..in the dark, the whole country has been asked to turn off their lights for an hour for some climate change thingy, so now I can't see lol!

We had a ton of rain here today (still raining, actually) and got a tornado watch...not too much lightening and thunder though - I usually turn-off my comp when that starts to happen...already had one modem 'fried' by a lightening strike right outside:shock:

LoL...raise awareness for climate change?...honey, everytime it rains enough to make me wear a jacket, or so hot I have to turn-on the AC...I 'get 'aware' of the climate - not being snarky, hehe just found it funny

They mean raise awareness to climate change due to global warming ;) We had to turn out the lights because how electricity is made damages the enviroment (burning fossil fuels)

Tonight is when we turn off the lights for 1 hour. It will be at 8:30 pm our time which will be in 4 hours.

We won't be home at that time.;) As we are spending the evening at our relatives house for supper. :D

Gotcha Gracie...as my Aussie friend say, didn't mean to 'fuss you':)

I thought you thought I was talking about something else lol.

Pet-bunny, we had to turn ours off at 8:30 too :)

I don't know if we had that here, but if we did I was sat in my friend's car so I was in the dark anyway, if that counts! :D

It does annoy me how big office buildings and shops etc keep their lights on overnight. It's totally unneccessary and a complete waste of energy.... :grumpy:

Yeah it's called Earth Hour. Everyone turns off their lights to raise awareness about global warming. We did it here too but it's not compulsory, there were still heaps of lights.
