I'm Ral from Florence, AZ and I've been retired 5 years. After our beloved Bambi died in January of 2007, we felt we would not get another bunny but I got to the point that I just had to hold a bunny. I called a shelter in Mesa to request a visit but no one replied. While at the sales office I do work for (Webmaster services), a lady who had a bunny overheard me talking with another person about my love for bunnies and came to ask and she pulled me to a distant corner and asked about my love for bunnies. I let her know that I've just got to find a bunny to hold. She said she has one that I could hold and she's looking for a good home for it. I visited later the same day Oct 07. She took a picture of me holding her Domino. Later that evening, I showed the picture to my wife and she said I could get the bunny. I had the bunny in my home the same evening. Since having him, I had him neutered (a rough day for me as I didn't want to leave him at the vet). Since it was hot the day I had him neutered, I took some sliced carrot sticks in chilled water and some fresh hay and fed them when I picked him up. It was a welcome treat for him and since the carrot pieces were soaking, he got a refreshing drink at the same time. Since the neuter, he has become the perfect pet. He's such a sweetie!!!

Welcome to the forum! What a cute story;).

I have relatives in AZ, I was out there last Feb, near Phoenix, I loved it! I keep seeing buns that need homes on Petfinder in Mesa:(. (If ever you want to get another bun, you could check their site.)

Congrats on getting another bun, aren't they great? I'd love to see pics when you get a chance too. What kind is he? Do you know? If not, feel free to ask in our Rabbitry section, knowedgable breeders will be able to help you out with that:).

Again, Welcome Ral!

Welcome! I'm looking forward to hearing more about Domino. Feel free to start a bunny blog and post pictures. We love pictures!

Well Domino has his own web site, even his own email. He sends pictures of himself every so often with a brief update on how things are going for him. See his site at: www.ivoa.com/Domino.htm. I love him so very much. There's also some pictures of Bambi that I saved from his site and also some of Cookie (a wild cottontail I raised). Cookie actually had the most extensive web site and I had the domain name "hipityhop.com" for Cookie. I'm not sure if I posted my original message in the right place - this list is new to me. I'm used to yahoo groups and am thelist owner of a few yahoo groups but this one so far, has been somewhat confusing to me...Ral

You did post in the right place:D, no worries. Just have a look around and try to get used to the feel of it, if you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to ask.;)

I must check out Domino's site too!:)

Welcome, Ral!

I am from Prescott, Arizona...and I am extremely happy to see another bunny lover from Arizona join the forum. We currently have 3 other active AZ members...myself, Tracy (who will soon welcome you, I am sure!), and JamesCarden (who lives in Glendale)...and now you :)!

I have three neutered male bunnies....Marlin, Morgan, and Brody. I am currently trying to bond all three ;).

I can't wait to hear more about Domino and see pictures.

Again, glad to have you here :biggrin2:!
