Well we didn't get very much snow, but it was raining freezing rain the whole night, so we have like 4' of ice on the groud. And they can't plow it, they have to wait for it to melt with salt.

:)

I saw pics of that on our news. People have been killed and stuff, it looks very grisly.

We've never had anything like that. It must be nice to be inside and warm and snuggly right now :)

hehe, yep! I have my favorite lap warmer with me (Phinn ;))

And if we did have school, I would be ssoo freaked out to drive in our 16 wheeled mega bus, with my deaf, 203349 year old bus driver! lol

Ahh you're so lucky!:p Wish I hadstayed at home - just found out today thatI have a mock French History exam this Thursday which I haven't even started revising for.:shock:I hate French History.:grumpy:

I hope you had a good snow day!:biggrin2:

Live in the midwest United states and you might get out of school one day for ICE and the next day for TORNADOS! :p

Silvie, is it ok where you are? that ice has really done some damage to certain areas. I hope your power stays on and all that.

Thanks guys!

The roads are pretty bad. When you walk it feel like an icerink.

Its still raining, ontop of the snow, and the bad thing is that is supposed to stop raining, then the temp is going to drop, so it will be all frozen.

but so far, everyone is fine and safe :)

Hey be nice about bus drivers. Believe me our job STINKS sometimes :biggrin2: I drive for a little school in rural Illinois and it's a thankless job when the roads are not plowed or salted(excuse me cindered, they don't use salt where we are). And you get to a house and a dad comes out and looks at you and says......careful it's icy out....and I just want to look at him and so....REALLY I wouldn't have known it in the 15 miles I've had to drive just to get to you. But I have to be nice. I love the kids on my route though. I have 60 of them and for the most part they're a good bunch ages K through 8th grade.

I have family members who drive buses and have driven - also bus aides .. definitely can be hard jobs...

Glad all is well, Silvie. Stay warm and safe!
