Some of you may remember my thread of disgust over how my friends kids acted at my home a while back, and then later how they came over unannounced when I was so sick.

Well, first of all, we never resolved anything about how the kids destroyed the house. No good chance came up.

And on that note, knowing how the kids are from my thread - remember how I posted saying a friend wanted me to take a puppy her Uncle had? Well, the pup is here - a small mixed breed, apparrantly they had the pup but the kids were so wild with it she feared they'd kill or injure it).

Anyhow, the husband gotdiscounted passes to Six Flags from his work so we're all going on Saturday. I dont know how much it costs to go normally but through his work it's $25 plus we get a free $25 food voucher. I suppose that will be enough for a soda and/or something smallif prices are anything like they were at the Botanical Gardens a few weeks ago when they had the Japanese festival (anyone want to see pics from it - I went with family, not this group..)

I never go to Six Flags. I mean, I have gone, but probably not since '93 or so.

I'm kind of looking forward to it but my back is still sore from being rear ended so I dont know that I'll ride anything. Still, I qite enjoy people watching...

Hopefully it'll be fun. We're supposed to meet at 8:00am at a local resturaunt . They wanted to stop at my house in the morning but I headed that off pretty fast! And I think Six Flags opens at 10:00am.

Right now I'm hoping it wont be a long all day thing - but who knows. Maybe it'll be a lot of fun.

I think you are very generous, they are lucky to have a friend like you. It will be interesting to see what the day out is like. It sounds like the kids are totally out of control if the puppy's wellbeing is at risk, how do you feel taking the puppy?

When I have friendships that begins to turn sour for whatever reason, I think of a few things that evaluate whether or not the relationship is worth having. First, have I been there for them in a crisis (or several) and them not for me, ever, even when they had the chance? Do I feel unhappy more than 50% of the time when I am with them or after being in their company? And do they listen to me less than 50% of the time? If it is yes then all three, I drop the friendship like a hot potato. I just did that with a 'friend' who has made plans with, then blown me off the past THREE times I was visiting in town. The first time was too much in my opinion.

I hope you have a good time with them and it is an especially enjoyable time for you.

I think you're extremely brave to be facing them again so soon!

But, I hope you have a great day, and at least if they are unruly, it's not your stuff they'll be messing up :)

And well done for avoiding them coming to your house again!

Eeek! sounds like a disaster ready to happen. If your friend didn't carefully watch the kids in your house, she may not supervise them carefully in the theme park either. You're a brave person to go into a large open place with them. I don't think I could do it. The teacher in me would try to take control of the kids once she proved she wouldn't do so, and I'd spend all of my energy that day on that instead of relaxing and enjoying the day. I hope your friend doesn't expect you to do the supervising.

OK, I can feel myself tensing up, just thinking about this. I am really looking forward to a report about how the day went!!! I hope you're able to relax and enjoy yourself!

It all went pretty well. I'm exhausted though. I dont normally go out and do a lot so todays trip was quite a bit for me to handle.

We rode a few rides but with Andrew being so short our options were limited.

At one point Racheal, Andrew and I got seperated from Charlie, Matt and Zach so a lot of time was wasted walking around looking for them but it was good.

Andrew just turned 3 but he's fun (and my favorite). We were in a VIP group so we got in at 9:00am. The lunch served was pretty picked over when we got to it but the food was warm and the pavilions were a nice break from the downpour we got stuck in. That pretty much ended the day, wet clothes, tired kids...

We all stopped at my house afterwards but they left pretty quick. Andrew got changed into dry clothes in the parking lot but Matt and Zach wanted to change at he house because they were embarassed to change in public. Charlie and Racheal forgot to bring their own dry clothes so they were uncomfortable and wanted to leave. They all got to see the pup they gave me but Andrew was falling asleep, Matt was a bit grumpy and Zach was wanting to watch a movie (National Treasure 2) I lent them so my house and sanity were left intact.

I'm off fora hot shower after I do my rabbit/dog rounds...
