So Dill, the energizer bunny, always paws at me for attention, thus I have scratches down my arm -- no problem, I don't even notice they're there -- until Pipp starts chewing on them.
She's obsessed! I'm concentrating on my work, so at first I barely noticed her licking and chewing my arms, but now she's really bent on chewing off the scabs and licking the 'wounds'. I suspect they would have been long healed by now without her 'help'.
It's getting ridiculous. I may have to lock her up somewhere (tho not sure where). She is SO determined! I feel bad yelling at her or saying 'no' because she's concerned about her 'mate' (me) and wants to heal me.
I'm surprised that she's actually causing this much damage. When bunnies do this to each other, is it helpful or harmful? Are they keeping infection out by the constant grooming of the wound, or are they preventing it from healing? It's an odd quirk of nature if it's the latter.
