I'm beginning to think Nyx is a "steel" in disguise under the black

Nyx has a gorgeous black color - but she has a LOT of white hairs showing up suddenly - not all in one place - but here and there. I bet she has at least 50 or so white hairs on her body.

If I remember right - Pam mentioned at one time that it is possible for black to hide the steel gene...is that right?

If so - I'm assuming that if I breed her to Mercury (light grey) - that any light greys that come out of it will be safe to keep for my breeding program - am I right?

HELP?
