My area flooded, as I spoke about in another post, and it's been hectic here. My home wasn't affected but the one right across from me was. It's a shame too since it's for sale.

We were without power forseveral days (I just got it back today) and we were under boil restrictions, funny when you have no power.

The water is down now but more rain is expected. Next we'll be batteling tornados. Rolla (where I'm from) had one go through a few nights ago.

My animals are great, I'm ok - my brother and his wife have 3.5 weeks to go until their baby arrives and we've been putting together a room for her. Exciting, exciting!

I should be getting a newer car either this week or next since mine was totalled recently. Work, flood "patrol" and the pound have kept me so busy and tired I havent gone car shopping much.

These last few months have been so hectic for me! I *really* need a break of "cheer up" badly!

I'm glad I'm back online because I've missed you guys!

I noticed you'd "gone silent"....and was wondering what was up - it didn't dawn on me that you might be out of power for longer than a few hours or a day or so.

Its so nice to see you around again....'cause I really DID miss you!

One night was really bad because I thought I lost my cat. He's a siamese mix, my little "baby" who is around a year old.

When I was going in and out of the house Simon managed to get outside and I couldn't find him for hours. He had gone outside ( I still have no idea how) and it just broke my heart. Because of the flooding the wildlife had moved close to the houses and such and I was *sure* he'd be caught and eaten, or would stumble into water somewhere and be swept away.

He came back home on his own as proud as could be which was an enormous relief, especially since he is blind.
