Will and I decided within ten minutes to go up North to Clam Lake, WI. We live in Waukesha, and Clam Lake is about six hours North (to Northwestern Wisconsin). It's about two hours Northwest of Wausau. We went up there specifically to see the Wisconsin elk. That is the only area in Wisconsin with wild elk. The herd is around 120 animals and normally roams around the Clam Lake area. We saw ONE elk the night we got there. That was it lol. Luckily, it was a HUGE bull elk! Other than that, we saw some bald eagles, ruffed grouse, red fox, and a ton of whitetail deer and turkeys.
Here are some pictures of our wildlife! Sorry they are a bit blurry. They were either really far away (thus zoomed in) or dark (as with the elk photo).
