....Help!!! :p

Most specifically Barefoot Contessa? PLEASE tell me, does anyone else watch it? It's shown over here on UKTV Food and I just love it!

I also love other cooking programmes, anything really.... My TV is normally switched onto UKTV food during the day and I skip back and forth when there's something I like...

I would LOVE to have one of Ina Garten's cookbooks for Christmas..... I have dropped enough hints for Steve to drown in lol!

Am I alone in my cookery-programme addiction?!!!

Sorry, I just had to admit that somewhere lol..... :p

Hubby and I are addicted to Iron Chef and anything that Alton Brown hosts. We love Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. We catch Paula Deen now and then. We used to watch Top Chef, but then they gave in to producers on kicking off good chefs. Hubby loves Everyday Italian and the Cooking Loft. Bobby Flay's throwdown is good and we often watch Dinner Impossible. We LOOOOOOOOVE Ace of Cakes!!!! We will watch anythign with Duff in it! We also adore Guy. We think they should have a show together. The challenges are cool...especially the cake ones. :)

I think that about covers it.

Ok, so I have never heard of any of those lol!! Except maybe Everyday Italian... is that a woman hosting? I think we might get that over here....

Barefoot Contessa is really my favourite... :) Ina Garten is like my hero lol... She's on right now!

And there's a prorgramme over here called Market Kitchen- they show it every weekday evening, and it's various chefs and guests, and all the chefs cook but the emphasis is on using fresh, good quality ingredients, meals cooked from scratch etc. I love it!! :biggrin2:

We also watch Masterchef when it's on as well....

Steve HATES my cookery shows, but I put up with his numerous Frasier repeats that he swears he hasn't seen before, so he must put up with that! :biggrin2:

I like cooking shows too.

My favs are...

Ace of Cakes

Rachel Ray (or however you spell it)

Iron Chef

Good Eats/ anything else he hosts

Throw Down with Bobby Flay

And a bunch of others, hehe.

I love Barefoot Contessa!! She's my favorite!!! I WANT her kitchen so bad, lol. I also like Alton Brown who does the show Good Eats and Gordon Ramsey.. he's a brit with a naughty mouth but he's so funny to watch and awesome cooking skills. I also like Jamie Oliver.. can we say hot?! :biggrin2: I wish I had cable again just to watch The Food Network!

I love Alton Brown, Ace of Cakes, Dinner Impossible, and anything with Jamie Oliver (a good cook and good looking!).

I keep thinking about checking out an Ina Garten cookbook from the library to see how her recipes are. I've only seen her show once. (I'm addicted to cookbooks, I have a huge collection, but I'm very picky about which ones I will buy!)

Don't care for Paula Deen (too over the top for me), Rachel Ray (same reason), or Bobby Flay (that man is SO arrogant!).

I dont watch any but love cooking. For some reason I stopped really "cooking" but today I did. My husband has a huge smile on his face and is stuffing his face.

:highfive: Me too!! They've just started showing the series with her new barn over here....OMG give me a barn like that to cook in and I will die a happy woman! Also give me a big house in the Hamptons lol...

I made the Cheddar-Dill Scones last night and OMG! They are AMAZING! They turned out so well....

If I had the money I would definately invest in her books.... I found the scone recipe very easy to make. She's definitely not low-fat cooking lol but who cares? :p

I know that I have at least one book-shaped present for Christmas this year and I'm just praying it's one of hers....

Fran, I have Tana Ramsay's book too! It's great! I have several of Gordon Ramsay's as well... They're really easy to make and not at all complicated...

I love cooking but I tend to go with the flow and rarely follow recipes. I do like making soda bread though, got that from a recipe book my Mum bought me for Christmas and it is so tasty :D

Is it the pink Tana Ramsay book? Have you tried the fish pie? It was so tasty but it took ages to make with all the white sauce and stuff! Also I have a tiny weeny kitchen (we have one small cupboard sized surface for preparing) so I find it difficult to make really big things. Although I made Sainsburys Salmon fish cakes for under a fiver (I made 8) and they were so fun! I recommend them, they tasted amaznig and were so filling and probably not that bad for you.

Fran :) :hearts :brownbunny

I am going to have to try that Cheddar Dill Scones recipe, it looks really really good. Thanks for the link to that, it may be my project for this weekend!

I have to admit, I rarely cook anything out of any of my cookbooks. I think I buy them to look at the pictures and drool over the ingredients list. I haven't gotten any good coupons from the bookstore lately, so I haven't been able to buy a new cookbook. (I usually wait until I get a 40% off one, or sometimes I'll cave if I get 30% off.) I have been meaning to try some cake recipes, but I tossed my old cake pans last summer because they had rusted, and haven't bought new ones. Maybe for Christmas.

I love Food Network (I hate to cook!!). I (along with everyone else) love Diners, Drive-In's and Dives, Ace of Cakes, and Good Eats.

I also have a HUGE crush on Alton Brown....:heartshim! :embarrassed:
