First of all I want to thank everyone for all of your advice. I checked out all of the links given and they were very helpful.

I had to move Jezebel inside lastnight. Major storms were supposed to hit today and I could not leave her out there. I brought her in and slept next to her pen. That seemed to calm her down. I thought she still had a few days but when I came home from work she had already had them. I think there are 5. Two seem to be light colored and 3 are dark. Mom is doing well- I am so proud of her! I just hope I can find good homes for them.

Yay!! All are safe and sound!

Have you checked all the babies to make sure none are injured or that any after birth got left in the nest? Dig right down to the bottom of the nest to make sure every thing is clean.

Are they in a box or in a nest on the floor? I'm partial to putting the babies in a box to help keep them together for warmth, and it also makes it easier to pull the nest out to inspect them. If they aren't in one already, I would find a suitable sized box and transfer the entire nest into that box. Just pick it up and pop it in, then put the box in the same spot.

Congratulations, but now we need pictures!!

Congrats :biggrin2:And yes pictures are required for all threads started on new babies :pYes, it's in the rules... the unwritten ones :p

I usually take pictures of absolutley everything, but I wasn't sure how much I should handle them. They have the nest in a small cat carrier. It was all I could find on a short notice since this was kind of unexpected. I looked them over once yesterday and once this morning. Everyone looks good. One baby seemed a little weak yesterday but is very vigirous today.

I tried to do a search on what exactly to feed a lactating mom but am having a hard time finding anything. I feed my other rabbits a large salad in the morning, oxbow bunny basics T at night, and free feed oat hay. Is the sufficent for a lactating mom? Should I pick up some Bunny Basics 15/23 or alfalfa?

I would keep feeding her the same diet, but I would add some alfafa hay in. I think lactating does are normally fed a diet of 16% or 18% protein pellet. I'm not sure if switching her pellets would be good or not.

You could try mixing a little bit of a alfafa pellet in with her timothy ones.

I would definitly get her some different types of hay. Alfafa to help get some extra calories.

Keep feeding her veggies, and when the babies start eating food, they will start eating what mom eats.

Watch her weight, and make sure she's not getting too skinny.

Well, so far everyone is doing great! The babies are all fat and active. Mom is doing good. She is eating like a pig and seems relaxed and comfortable in her surroundings. I got a few pics this morning too!
