I'm pretty excited about it but am not getting my hopes up yet.

I had a lot of trouble finding a company to do the fence because noone wanted to return calls. Finally I got a few estimates, decided on one - signed the contract and sent it in.

Then I waited and waited and waited for almost a month before I called them to see what was going on. They told me they never got the contract. I faxed it to them the following day.

Good on their part I suppose since I went with the larger area which I hadn't done in the first place.

They FINALLY confirmed that they received my fax on the 2nd of July - and this past Friday Dig Rite showed up and staked/painted my yard.

This morning I had to dig up some plants and transplant them so I dont lose the bunches when they put posts in and I worked on my poision oak infested tree line some more.

I suppose since they people marked the ground for underground cables the fence will go up soon. I'm excited but wont hold my breath until I see progress.

Pretty neat as well - I found a dog-door for my sliding glass door on CraigsList that I'll be picking up tomorrow afternoon. It'll be perfect for my little dogs (too big actually) with room for the eventual dog I'll adopt - Now my brother and SIL decided they want to keep Pete afterall (for those that read that thread) so my options have once again opened up.

Keep your fingers crossed for me this week, ok?!

I don't think it was as much they didn't get your fax - as they were waiting to get your parent's permission.....:biggrin2:

But they didn't want you to know that!

Not sure if your state is same as Illinois, but here they have 72 hours from the time that its marked to dig or else they have to have it remarked. That's a law. Granted nothing could have changed in that 72 hours but it still must be redone. So hopefully that means you'll have your fence posts at least in in the next 3 days :)

It may be the same for IL. I just got off the phone with one of the guys. They'll be here in an hour to an hour and a half. I have to be home to do the initial walk-through and then they'll start putting the posts in.

I'm glad we'll walk around first as I have some questions about the area bya big tree I have.

I can't believe it's finally happening!
