I live on a farm, my husband and I have a house right next to my parent's, we sort of share a five acre plot. Anyway, we have poultry, that at the moment are running loose on the place, thanks to a wind storm taking down thier pen and us not having been able to get it fixed yet.
So our five geese, (sorry, four now.) that are completly unafraid of the car, even when we honk, tend to hang out in the driveway. This morning, when my mom was driving down to the mailbox to mail something, she was watching out for the ducks, which also aren't afriad of the car, and didn't see one of the geese, and ran over her. So my mom comes up to my house just bawling, cause the geese are all pets to us, and we really enjoy watching them.
So I had to go out and take the poor little goose out of the driveway, cause I don't know if Mom would have been able to handle it. It's just a really sad thing, you wouldn't know it unless you've had them, but geese really have a lot of personality. She was so cute, and when I picked her up it looked like she had been crying, that about killed me. She had these beautiful big brown eyes, and they were so expressive.
