i need to rant a bit

so, i went to get fabrics and patterns, spent like 100$ and started sewing. i started sewing this dress, but it was kinda giving me trouble so i had to keep redoing it, and i would sew, then have to take it apart and resew it.

i just took the top apart to resew it when my mom decided to clean up, cause garbage day was today. so i go to finish it like, five minutes ago and IT IS GONE. the only thing that is left is the fabric that i had not yet cut parts out of.

i am so mad, it took me so long to do all that. plus the fabric was on sale and so there is not going to be any left, and i got just enough to make the dress, not alot of extra fabric.

Breathe.... it was probably an honest mistake. You need a project box to put your stuff in so no one touches it. A BIG tub with a lid... and a LOCK! :hug:

Any chance your mom will help buy new fabric?

Can you post a picture of the fabric? I can check our local fabric store tomorrow and see if they have any. Let me know.

now i have to re cut everything out, which is a pain in the butt.

How annoying! I wish I could sew, my Mum used to make me loads of stuff when I was little, and I think my Dad got a little annoyed about having so many fleeces.. My Mums close friend had a wedding dress shop and they always talk about doing a 'project' together. I love sewing but I can only make sock monkeys and pillow covers! Pattern cutting confuses me.
