ok, my bun will randomly start eating his poop. not always right away. sometimes if i don't sweep it up fast enough when he's out of his cage he will leave it for about 5 minutes, run around, then go eat it. and sometimes i can't tell for sure if it's the yesterdays news litter or his poop he's munching on when in his cage. though why he would munch on any of it is beyond me when he has access to hay at all times.

i'm thinking its those cecals things but my boyfriend's mum just gave me a bit of a scare and i just need an answer to get it out of my head. she was saying that the bun might have worms. is this possible? should i go get him checked? how much would it be to get him checked for worms + meds for it?

i take him outside sometimes, but not that often. and i'm careful about where he goes. lately it's been to the park, but we stay in the sand lately where he doesn't eat grass.

My 2 rabbits do that too. They are checked regularly by the vet.
I wouldn't worry.

(My last rabbit, George, actually pooped out worms in his poop before. He was given some meds for it and it was sorted. :))
