Ten months isn't that old for a hamster. All the ones I have had start to slow down once they are about two. It probably is best to have him checked out by the vetif you are able :)

In the mean time, have you changed his food lately? What are you feeding him?

Ditto what luvthempigs said, 10 months is'nt old for a hamster.

What breed it he? Have you noticed any changes with his eating, drinking, pooping etc?

He certainly sounds active enough. Although I may not feed my hamsters correctly, but I give my hamsters way more food than that. But I'm never a one for reading instructions. :)

When one of my hamsters had wet tail, I joined a hamster forum which were really helpful. Maybe they can give you better advice there, as I really don't know what to suggest.

ho e

its a nasty thing and they can become dehydrated so quickily and die

No, unfortunately my little hammie died 9 days after we first noticed her wet tail. The forum were very helpful with what medications to give her etc.

Good Luck :)
