I'm going away this weekend to my trailor. I want to make Sparky some treats, or actual wet food. Anyone have recipes ? I'm looking online and theres alot of recipes that include things that i've never heard of, and his vet told me 'If you've never eaten it (knowingly) or can't pronounce it then don't bother'. Please , don't just give me a whole website for recipes, i'd rather a link itself to a certain recipe, that you've either tried , or know for a fact it's a good recipe.

:D I make this for my dog Karly and for my rats. It's easy and you know exactly what's in it, haha!

1/4 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Banana
1/4 Cup Oatmeal
1/2 Cup Flour (whole wheat is best, but use what you want)
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

I flatten it out on a cookie sheet and score it with a butter knife, then bake it at 45o for about 10 minutes, and then let it cool and then break it along the score lines. You can make the pieces as big or small as you want.

You can also leave out the sugar if you want, I do. :)

Thanks , that looks so easy ! I found a few I like which i'll post for others to see but alot of other have lots of ingerdients and/or need to be frozen which isn't an option for a 2 hour car ride.
Their cookies ? or a loaf, like biscotti.

I make these at Christmas-time for the dog lovers I know--they are a big hit! They may or may not cause the dogs to get gas though... but maybe Sandy the golden mix is just a gassy girl! They will make your house smell like a Milkbone factory. Also, they need to be stored in the fridge. I give doggie treats to my hamster and since she got about one a week they went bad in about 2 months in the fridge.
