I can't believe it! ust went into my favourite pet shop to have a look and came out with a rabbit. I swear it was not my intention at all. But when he looked at me with those huge black eyes.... He is a lionhead and he is going to be huge. What are those markings called around the eyes?

This is not the best picture and doesn't really show off his gorgeous eyes

Lionheads are not very big about 3 1/2 pounds full grown. I don't know what the markings around his eyesare called though, I think he would just be called a broken black.

I know, I also read that lionheads are supposed to be a rather small breed, yet every single lionhead I have come acrosshere has been on the larger side. Is this maybe a different strain. I haven't yet seen a small lionhead in the shops here

The imports that where brought here to america I was told where BIG. People not breeding for show are still breeding though big Lionheads and keeping the huge size going. I am not sure how the Lionheads are bred there. My first Lionheads came from the same sort, big bunnies.

He is SOOO cute! I love the fluffy Lionheads over ones with properwooling :p
