I came home from work one day and on the dining room table there was a note and a disk. there was instructions to play it. so i took the disk and put it on and on the disk there was doug....he told me all the reasons why he loved me and why he wanted us to spend the rest of our lives together. but it was really sweet b/c he really went into depth about my character and what he sees. he did more than just say "you're beautiful and i love you". at the end he instructed me to go out onto my back deck. and there he was in the snow and cold on one knee. I love the fact that he put it all on dvd so for the rest of my life i can replay it. he knows i'm sentimental and that's why he chose to do it that way. he's such a wonderful guy!!

I have to admit he did a good job with the proposal. and i just love the fact that one day my kids can watch it and see how much their dad loves their mom and why he chose me to be his wife. besides next time we get in a tif about something i can just play the dvd and say....."what about all these great qualities that i have???".....lol

I haven't been on here in so long so i haven't been keeping up to date on much either! i feel like wedding plans consume me...well that and work!=) my dress is an ivory lace. not fluffy or poofy. it's one of david's bridals new dresses for the year. it was on the cover of their magazine. i saw it and loved it b/c it looks like my grams. only my grams had long sleeves. i decided to go for a veil after all. i didn't want to spend the money but found one that had a lace trim and it just went so well....sooooo. um yeah i got the veil too. we're having an outdoor ceremony at the golf club where we are having the reception. we're only having about 80 people. we got an awesome deal for doing a friday night wedding. so i'm excited. the ceremony will start at 5pm. i like the fact that it'll be dark halfway thru the reception. two of the walls are glass that overlook a lake. so it'll look beautiful by moonlight. and when i figured out the cost for EVERYTHING...wedding, reception, dress, cake, favors, doug's tux, flowers, photographer, etc....it's going to cost less than 10 thousand. probably around 8. so that is a HUGE relief!! i'll have to see if i can down load the pics from david's bridal.

Jenn....too bad you weren't getting married on the 18th b/c with the time difference we'd be getting married around the same time!
