Aww, I'm sorry Becca! I can't relate as I've never had anything done to my teeth (aside from cleanings and check ups), but I can understand the crying. I rarely even go to the dentist because I'm terrified of them! Even though your record's out the window, don't give up. One filling isn't the end of the world and that's still really good for a girl your age! Please take care and be gentle with yourself for the rest of the day.

:hug:Feel better, hon.

dont drink so many soft drinks or drinks high in sugar but if you do you can rinse youre mouth out with water. try to drink more water instead of the soft drinks. getting a filling is nothing compared to getting teeth pulled or having them cut out though. im getting my wisdom teeth taken the 29th. i think there are certain toothpastes that help your enamal and the fluoride helps prevent cavities. i think there is a chewing gum now that helps restore calcium in youre teeth i think trident makes it but im not sure ive had some fillings i think 3 but they arnt that bad. when the dentist fills them he'll probably use nitrous oxide (laughing gas or the stuff they use to make cars go fast) it will get you high and make you numb some what and its not that bad the only hurt is the hurt feelings that youve got a filling :X

The dentist didn't give me anything - on injection - nothing :X
I don't drink many fizzy drinks or eat many sweets - i don't understand how i got a hole but oh well - whats done is done but im not going to get another one!

I had my first two fillings a few weeks ago. I hate needles (I'm a huge needlephobe!) but my Mum told the dentist beforehand, so he was really careful about it all! I've had a brace before, my teeth went lovely and straight but have since started pushing out again due to the fact that I'm missing two teeth on the bottom (most people have 14, I have 12) so my top teeth hit the wrong bottom teeth. They said if they give me another brace now as soon as it comes off it will happen again, and as it isn't drastic.

The dentist told me in order to keep your teeth really healthy you should brush and floss more than twice a day if possible, don't drink fizzy drinks, not even sparkling water. If you do drink fizzy drinks drink them with a straw, because then it will go to the back of your mouth rather than being swished around the teeth.
