.....the lady wants to include ALL of my pets in a picture with me! Oh my goodness! It is going to be a "zoo"! I have 3 rats (who never sit still), 3 rabbits (have fun getting them to sit still), a kitty, and a doggie.

The photographer, Simon, will have to set up at our house...since transporting all our pets would be a dumb idea.

Every one gets a long with every one, except the bunnies. I would imagine he will set up the back drop and such in the living room, so it is not a common place where the bunnies are. I probably don't have to worry about fights with my guys, as they get along with each other in a different room then the bunny room.

I can hardly wait for the fun to begin :nerves1.

ETA: Oh, geeze. It didn't click until now that I am in the picture, too. Hopefully I don't look like a whale and the photographer knows how to "capture my good side".

LOL!

Have a strategy. Food will keep the bunnies busy maybe? could you put something in your shoulder clothing that would interest the rats?

Drug the kitty and dog ;);)

I can't wait to see the photos!

Oh! Good idea!

I should buy some really nice looking large carrot sticks with the green tops still attached for the bunnies. The rats can each have a dog cookie.

Hopefully the photographer wouldn't mind this. Maybe we'll try to take pictures first and see what he gets, then add the food in later.

It is going to be so interesting. I'm so nervous, lol! I gotta go shopping for some clothes!

We had a professional photographer come to our house and take pictures of Pat and I with Sparky and Scooter. He was experienced with working with animals and had all the right suggestions for poses, etc. These should be great pics!!!

Good luck Amy!

I think the pretty carrots would be so awesome for the picture! You could also see if there might be some sort of "theme" thing they want to try. Here, it would be nice to have like "fall" and "barn type" things for photos. Maybe you could do like Pumpkins and carrots and corn and stuff that might interest your animals!

I need to setup Luke's senior photos this week! YIKES!

The photoshoot is tonight at 4pm (AZ time). I am NOT excited. The photographer is pretty poor at planning for a day...he dragged me around a little while on days.

I guess it is going to be Me, the dog, the cat, 3 rabbits, and 3 rats on the couch in the living room, for the picture. It is going to be really complicated, lol.

I've been dreading it :tears2:.

I hope it goes well....i know how hard it is to get the whole crew together, i still don't have a pic of Pickles, Prince and Jamie all together and it's been a year, LOL!

Yeah, it should be a blast. Especially since we are dong it on my half white couch and Louie (one of my rats) gets soft poopies when he's afraid :(.

is it to late to get a itsy bitsy diaper for him:p? good luck..........:?

Probably too late for a little diaper, lol!

I hope Simon (the photographer) doesn't mind my couch (on the back) is a black/white hounds tooth pattern. He told me not to wear a shirt with a pattern on it, so hopefully my couch is fine.

He really didn't give many options on where we could do the actual shoot. He even asked me if we could do it outside! I said, Uhm, sure...if you'd like my rabbits, cat, and rats to run away!". He also asked if we could do the shoot on my bed with all my animals around me. I told him a definite "NO!" on that one....the bedroom is a private place that I don't think all of the Prescott Tri-city area needs to see/know where I sleep....haha!

Sorry but he sounds a bit creepy to me. Something doesn't sound "right" with the in the bedroom suggestion.

I know, right? Ryan is on his way home, so he will be here...I won't be alone. My experience with this is so far is not good, and I haven't met him in person yet. I am even wondering if he will show up! He was really bad at planning a day to do the shoot, like calling me on a Friday afternoon asking if I was free the next day (Saturday).

If he does show up, then I wonder how much patience he will have when the animals are not cooperating.

:dancingorig:

Oh wow!!! What a surprise!

Good luck with it all..... It's good that Ryan will be there... Even if he's not creepy, I know I wouldn't feel comfortable with a strange guy I've never met in the house- I hate when repair people come round lol!

Anyway, I hope the pictures turn out great! I can't wait to see them! :D Roughly guessing the time, it should be quite soon now right?

And Patti, I don't believe I've seen these pics of yours..... *hint hint* :p

I hate the idea of being alone in the house with men I don't know too, even if I was the most hidious woman on the planet I'd still feel a bit uncomfortable about it.

I kind of like the idea of the bed picture though, but then I don't see my bedroom as a very private place. People always wanna hang out in there because it faces onto the flowers in the garden, and it's nice and warm. And after we lived with Mats folks (our room was the garage, attached to the kitchen and all the laundry stuff was in there) well, sort of makes me think of a bedroom like a living room, hehe :p. This one time Mats mum opened the garage door while we were asleep, and some people walking down the road were pointing and giggling at us .

I hope the picture goes well though, I can imagine it would either be totally awesome or a disaster :D.

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible!

Brody was a horror, like always. I had to throw a towel over him to get him out of his cage, like always. I set him on the coffee table where we had a drop cloth down over it....he jumped off and lead me on a wild goose chase around the living room. Brody HATES to be held/picked up...he will fight you!

:shame

Marlin is so skittish. I do not know why, as I have had him since he was 6 weeks old, handled him like crazy, nothing had has ever happened to him....and still, he is crazy skittish. If you walk into the bunny room he freaks at even the slightest noise and runs in circles around his cage...slamming himself into the walls. I just don't get it. Anyway, I got him and put him on the coffee table. FREAKED OUT! I had to put him back into his cage.

:disgust:

Morgan was the only good bunny of the bunch. Simon got some great shots of me and Morgan. He eventually didn't want to be held anymore, so I put him back into his cage.

:bunnyheart

The rats were hilarious and the most cooperative. They played on the coffee table, the couch, the end table, and me. Simon got some great shots of them and probably a few with them running around me.

Juju (my kitty) was being a big baby! Screaming "MAMA, MAMA, MAMA"...he really does, I am not joking! Hopefully the pictures with me, Juju, and the rats came out well.

:wiggle

We also did shots with me, Sammy (our dog), and the rats. That went....well. Sammy wanted to play with the rats. He was being a little terror and really misbehaving, horribly. He embarrassed me the most out of the bunch with his "untrained" behavior. I felt like the dog slave...instead of the dog leader.

:bow

So, it was terrible. Simon was very overwhelmed, I could tell. I guess he isn't a real animal photographer, but mostly focuses on weddings and such. The "heat" was hot in the room....we were all getting frustrated. The bunnies are so angry at me....even my sweet baby Morgie.

:nonono:

I now feel like I have WAAAAAAY to many pets, especially since having them run wild all around me at once. The lady who runs the stories for the Prescott Dog paper that we are going to be featured in is NUTS....and I am going to let her know that. She might be mad that we didn't get a shot with me and ALL the pets, but she will have to stuff it!

:panic:

I was so paniced, stressed, blahed...that I had to go to Joann Fabrics for a little shopping spree for some alone time out of the house!

:nerves1

Oh, and I guess the photo's aren't free! The contest was said to be over $500 worth of prizes. The gift card to Furry Little Monster's was only $50, then a $35 gift card for a canine massage, and $50 for Simon to do the shoot for an hour....that certainly doesn't equal $500 worth of prizes. Simon said he would hook me up with a digital disc of the pictures. If it is under $40, then I will pay for it....anything over....he can keep it.
