FINALLY!!! I have been searching for a while now.. and finally found one!! He is about 2 hours from me, but thats okay! He will only be about 6 weeks when they are letting them go.. which is a little early to me. But, I can deal with that when the time comes. Anyways, I need your opinions!! I really like both but can you tell me which one you would chose???

You mayt have to copy and past the link. I am leaning more towards the brown one, because of the colors of my does (brown and white).

What do you mean by "brown and white"? Do you mean chocolate or red?

They are super cute, but I wouldn't count on a calm and relaxed rabbit per the description. Gary, my mini rex, is a wonderful rabbit and does therapy with people. However, I would never call him calm! He loves to run and run and run. He's such a clown and loves to make people laugh with his sillyness, but if you hold him he cries. I just don't want you to expect a snuggle bun because it might not happen. That can be true with any breed though.

I own two mini rex already! :) I know how they are lol. I find it funny seeing peoples ads that say all that stuff. I know you cant count on them.

I have been getting into breeding rabbits and have been looking for a pure mini rex buck for about 6 months now. And FINALLY found one. THere arent any around my area.. except at the place I got my does.. and they would be from the same mother or father.

Oh that's good. I get worried when people say things in adds like that. I fear the new owners will expect a certain temperment or bahavior that just isn't fair to project on the rabbit. They are all individuals, just like people.

Bunnies are people too, just with fur suits ;)

Can you post a couple pics of you does you are planning to breed? It might help determine which color is better.

Right now, I plan on breeding with Bubbles, sorry the pictures arent the best!

Thumper isnt exactly impressed with being bred, so, I am not sure I will keep her in the breeding program. May just have her as a pet! :) I dont want to make her unhappy!

I will be getting another breeding doe in the future. But Not quite yet. Who knows, Thumper may come around. She is all white with the same color of spots down her back as Bubbles has.

I would not get either of those babies. They will do a lot of changing as they grow up. There is more to breeding then just colors. You have to look at the shape of the rabbit when it is posing to be judged. I would HIGHLY recommend that you get a copy of the Standard of Perfection by ARBA. This book will go over how each breed should look. It will detail the colors, body and everything else. Your doe looks like she has less than 10% coloring which is a DQ when showing. Your rabbit needs to have between 10%-50% (I beleave) colloring if it is a broken. You should attend some shows. You will get to see the different breeds there. You will get to talk to breeders who have been doing this for YEARS (lots over 50 years). You will have the chance of buying new rabbits and you can sell rabbits there. It is free to attend. It costs between $3-$6 to enter a rabbit in a show. I would really recomend that you attend one.

I agree with Idoerr; breed for disposition, type, and color in that order. But since you are breeding for pets, you don't really need to worry about type. So if one of the bucks is way friendlier than the other, choose that one as he may pass it on to his kits. Back to color. Bubbles is a broken black tort, so actually the broken black buck would be better because she is a broken black tort. But in the end, choose the one that you really like best, because he will be your baby before anything! Post pics if you get one:)!!!

Also, can you post more pics of Bubble's babies? I am dying to see them!

Lol Absolutely! I will post them later on today we are just having snack timehere.

I am sure one of the littl white ones will have the longer fur like their dad. But the other three.. I am unsure of.

I agree, since you are breeding for pets I would go for temperment. Go meet them, fall in love with a buck and take that one home.

I like them all! So no luck with me deciding! lol
