I just booked my driving theory test... i'm so nervous! Its for the 23rd of July, which is 2 weeks tomorrow... i'm so freakin' scared! I haven't done any studying!

Ahh! Why did i book it so soon! :scared:

Good luck!! :D Study!! :p My cousin just passed hers last week. I must send away for my Provisional License, I can't wait to drive!

Its so much fun to learn! Even though i will never be able to afford petrol! If i do pass!

I just did a practice online, got 38 out of 50, which is a fail. You have to get 43... but that's without any revision, and now i know that the speed limit for a car with a trailer on a dual carriageway AND a motorway is 60! :D

Its the written bit, you can't book your practical until you've passed it.

Very scared though, i think i will probably be taking my real test in about a month and a half or so, hopefully by Septemer... scared!

I'm so glad that they allowed my U.S. drivers lic. to be used when I lived in England. I would have failed the test. It is so easy to get your lic. here. Plus you don't have to have that "red L" sticker on your car. LOL

Good Luck Fran I'm sure you will pass it with flying colors!!!!

Good luck, you'll be fine! My best friend revised the night before her test for her theory and got full marks so I honestly wouldn't worry.:)

I hate learning all the theory and having driving lessons, I wish I could just be passed now!:grumpy::p

Lol! I know, I doubt I'll be driving much when if I pass my test, if prices stay the way they are! And no way will I get a car, I'll just have to get insured on Dad's or something.

I will probably get a car, because my Grandparents gave my cousin £1000 when he passed, and I think my Dad might give me something. My Mum said she will do what she can, maybe pay my tax or something! My other Grandparents, I'm their oldest grandchild so I think they might give me something. If i can find a car for a grand (easily) then all the other things and the insurance will have to be paid by me. Although to be honest I'm dreading it, I will have to work alot more hours than I do now to get enough money for petrol. I only get £170 without overtime, I guess having a car will mean that I can get to work easier for overtime though!

I PASSED! :yahoo:

I got 47 out 50 (pass mark is 43) in the Theory part, and 58 out of 75 (pass mark is 44).

Need to book my Practical now! I did parallel parking today in my lesson, I think I've covered everything in my lessons I just need to fine tune it all.

Learning to drive is so expensive! I've spent around £400 on lessons already, and need to spend maybe another £200-£300, I paid £40 for my license, £30 for the Theory test and £75 for the practical test. This is all before I've bought a car!

Wohoo! :D How exciting!

I go for my learners test (I think a similar thing? Answer questions to get the learners liscense to drive with restrictions?) September 8th -ish after I turn 16.. I keep studying the book, but will probably panic and draw a major blank LOL!

Over here we don't have to take a test to get a license, you can apply for a Provisional (before you pass) license as soon as you turn 16 but can't drive until 17. Then you have to take your theory whenever you want, after that you can book the practical exam.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! :weee::yahoo:

I remember having to do my Theory test twice.... I failed the first time because I only looked at the book like twice or something? Taught me a lesson!

I can't believe how expensive the pracital is nowadays!!!! It was £38 or something when I passed 5 years ago? I think that's quite a bit higher increase than inflation lol!

It's weird how learning goes... I was always a disaster at parallel parking but now it's the thing I do best... I even guide Steve, my mum and my friends into spaces when they reverse in lol!

The actual practical test is £55 but you have to hire your instructors car for an hour, so its like an extra £21.

I only started looking at the book about 4 days before, I didn't even get through the entire book but alot of the questions I actually did revise showed up in the exam!
