I hope maple flowers are safe!?

I had my bunny up on the deck running around and he got hold of and has been eating a few of those little yellow flowers that keep falling of our maple tree. As much as I sweep he always manages to eat some. :rollseyesAre these safe for bunnies to eat? I haven't seen any changes in anything.

I know that maple (specifically the wilting leaves of maple) is highly toxic for horses, but my understanding is that it's just horses that it's known to affect.
Considering how similar rabbits and horses are, however, I wouldn't take my chances.

Ok, they have eaten kind of a lot over the last week though it didn't seem to effect them other than making them happy.:biggrin:
