I have to go for an xray

When I was ill, my mum noticed that on my left bone on my chest or neck (just below the neck) dunno what its called, anyway she noticed it was a bit swollen.
SO she only told me yesterday and today i went to the doctors and apparently its not my glands or anything and i can't remember hurting it so next wednesday i have to go and have an xray - i have never had one before - i hope its not serious - i'm scared:cry1::cry1::cry1:

X-rays sound scary, but all you have to do is lie on a table or sit or stand, they will explain where they need you to be.

I had to have some a while ago, on my chest, and it was fine and over quick. With x-rays, they also get them immediately, so hopefully you will know that day if they show anything, but they might not tell you until a follow up appointment probably depending on how busy the doctor is, so if you have to wait a while, it doesn't necessarily mean anything bad, just that they are busy.

It might be scary, but it's always better to know where you stand and what's happening than know something is wrong and pretend it's not there. Your mum did the right thing

Awww don't be too worried :hug:I've had x-rays before, they're nothing to be too scared of...

Also, I'm sure that if the doctor was really concerned it could be something serious, they'd send you for an x-ray sooner. The fact that you have to wait a few days could maybe be a good thing...

Try not to worry too much, it's good your mum spotted it! Let us know how it goes!

Awww... it's really not as scary as it seems! I promise. It does seem scary but don't worry, it's really quick, and it doesn't hurt at all. You'll do just fine It's always best to check on things and make sure everything is O.K.
