WOOO!
My step mom, her friend, my dad, ryan and I, dad and kelly's other friend couple, and their son all went down to Phoenix. The guy's went to the cigar outlet, while us girls shopped at David's Bridal.
I got a "bridal consultant" who was terrible. She kept getting me $500+ WHITE WEDDING dresses when I specifically told her I was looking for more like a semi poofy COLORED PROM dress UNDER $200. Our wedding is going to be on the lake in mid-spring. I didn't want a white wedding dress, I never have. I also told her that our wedding wasn't fancy, at all, and wanted something fun and simple. She was a total downer and I wanted to punch her in the face the whole time :nasty:.
The girl fectched me dresses for 2 hours. I started to get really irritated and on the verge of tears. When she brought me out a $600 wedding dress that was massively poofy and had an extremely long train....I decided enough was enough. My step mom and her friend, Angie, sensed it and went off and searched for dressed that they thought I would like. I am glad they did, because I was ready to put my clothes back on and go search myself. I was hoping I didn't have to be one of those angry piss*ed off brides at the bridal store....haha!
Angie came strolling up with a dress that I immediately fell in love with. It is gorgeous! It is just below the knee in length, semi poofy, turqouise & minty green, sparkly, and has beading. I am totally in love with it and knew it was the perfect one when I tried it on because it fit perfectly and I felt wonderful in it.
The "bridal consultant" kept talking about vails, when again, I specifically told her NO VAILS....THEY AREN'T FOR ME! I decided that I wanted a tiarra, so out came the nice but obviously "cheap" tiarra for $100. Ugh, lol! My dress was only $170...did she think I was going to buy a $100 head piece that I wouldn't wear all night?
I got dressed and came out to get ready to go pay for my dress, when I realised my wallet was missing and every one was out of sight. Angie stole my wallet while Kelly (my step mom) paid for my dress. It was so nice of her to do...I wasn't expecting it!
I wish I had a picture of my dress to show you guys! I have the picture on my phone, but I don't have a way to get it onto my computer. My dress is at Dad & Kelly's house, so we don't have a crazy kitty *cough*TIBI*cough* who will find a way to drag it through the house (he LOVES fabric and treats it like a baby, he is odd).
