I got my bunny tattoo!

I went in for my appointment to get my first tattoo today! I have always wanted a chest piece, so I am going for it!

My artist drew the tattoo out, so it is very original. I absolutely love it and it's just the outline!

This tattoo is on the left side of my chest and goes up onto my shoulder. My right side will have the same tattoo and a large rose or something in between the two tattoos, to form them into a chest piece. I go back in on June 12th to get the second outline on my right side. I'll have to schedule a day again to go back after the 12th to get shading & color. So, we are looking at a few months before my chest peice is totally finished.

The roses will be purple/lavendar and the bunnies will of course...be tort in color :biggrin2:.

Its a great Tat! Original and how much better can a Tat be than a Bun? However, thats alot of shading to be had - :shock:.. LOL...

I was told on a rat forum that the picture of my tattoo was innapropriate and counted as nudity, a shock to me as there are no "nakie parts" in this picture, lol :shock:. If anyone here feels the same way, then have a mod delete this thread .

As soon as i am old enough i want to get one done of one of my rabbits and one of my dog and my horse u know like just their faces all right next to eachother!!

But it will never happen because i got my belly butten done and passed out because of the pain!!:shock:

Your tattoo is gorgeous, Amy! And I hardly think the picture is inappropriate.

I have two tats and am wanting to get another two. I already have a small unicorn on the outside of my left ankle and flowers on my back (right below my neck). I'd love to get a bunny on the inside of my wrist and I want shooting stars on the top of my foot.

I can't wait to see how the whole piece turns out. But even now it's awesome!

I was wondering about whether or not you took the plunge after all of your doubts. Your artist did a wonderful job on the outlines. It will be a lot to fill in, but will be worth it in the end if you are happy with the results. I am glad you posted a pic, it makes all the difference in the world because a tattoo cannot be explained -- they are meant to be shown (or to be discovered). Did the "pain" merit all of the worry? Or are you an "old pro" at this now?

Very cool! I like the outline all by itself! Ive never liked ones that are colored in since the colors fade- that looks so cool like that!

The rabbit has a very "human" quality to it. Beautiful work. It almost (but not quite) makes me want to get a tattoo. Hubby is getting his first this summer for his birthday.
