Im sitting here at my computer with my littleSmudge (or as everyone now calls him "BunnyBunnyBunny" and I put myhand next to his head. He licked me! Gosh Im happy now, Im loved!

Is that what it means?!

I thought my rabbit was telling me I needed cleaning or something.

Is there anywhere else I can find about rabbit behaviour?

A few other question I have always wondered:

What does it mean when they run around and do like a skip? (like a young lamb would do)?

Also, when he runs over to you, what does it mean when he puts his head under your hand? Stroke me?

...and if he sits on only one person in the room (by choice i.e. hejumps up and sits on you) when he has the choice of other people, doesthat mean he 'likes' you best?

What does circling around your feet mean?

Why does he do 'laps' of a particular route around the living room at lighting fast speed?

Sorry for all those questions, but the licking thing has got be thinking.

I thought my rabbit was telling me I needed cleaning or something. Nope! It means he loves you.

Also, when he runs over to you, what does it mean when he puts his head under your hand? Stroke me? Yes, indeed!

What does circling around your feet mean? Thishuman belongs to me!

Why does he do 'laps' of a particular route around the living room at lighting fast speed? Fun! Getting to know his territory in case he has to escape from any predators.Whoooeeeee! Whee! Look at me!

Mongo, the Cheat Sheet at the top of the page has great info and links for rabbit care and behavior.

But to answer your questions....

The running around and skipping is called a "binky". It means your rabbit is very happy and literally jumping for joy.

Putting his head under your hand is a good indication of wanting attention. Same goes for jumping on your lap.

Running around in a circle around your feet is basically them saying "Pay attention to me!" or "Give me some treats!"

As far as the Bunny 500 they do, I think it's when they're happy andhave a ton of energy and just having fun. I love watching my rabbitstear bunny butt around the room.

Good stuff. Thanks for the info.

I'll have a look at the cheat sheet as well.
