I got a laptop

So, I got a laptop. I'm hoping to take some classes online. But that also means I'll be around here more often and post and hopefully get to know people better. I don't mean to not post on other people's topics; I'm painfully shy, even online.:? But I'm going to make an effort to post more and make friends. :biggrin2:

It is a Compaq, and I'm not sure if I got a deal on it... I actually got it as a gift from my father and my boyfriend; they both paid half.
Oh, I was having a lot of pc troubles. First my old laptop died 6 months ago, then my father's 11 year old computer kept freezing on me. Hopefully third times a charm!

cool! we used to have a lap top before it died. it cost as much to fix it as to get a brand new (desk top)puter, so of course mom went for the new one(i think the new one may have been cheaper, now that i think about it............), but i really miss being able to make off with the lap top and watch a movie or something:X! and we keep having mouse trouble....................

I have a laptop too! hehe. That's what I'm on right now and I use it for everything! I got it for X-mas this past year, and I definitley think it's one of the best presents!

You'll love your laptop! Do you have Windows Vista? If so, do you like it? My dad thought me and my sister would hate Windows Vista because some people do, but I love it for the most part...it's really nice.

Laptops do die pretty quickly. I had mine only four years when it suddenly gave up on me. I lost everything. :grumpy:I have a warranty for this one though.

I LOVE my laptop and I also use it for everything.I have Vista, and at first I hated it, but now that I'm getting used to it, it's really not that bad.
