Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday I was this young girl (18 - almost 19) standing at the altar....and now 28 years have gone by?

Let's see....did time start racing when we were on our honeymoon? During our first move? When Art joined the Air Force? When our twins were born a week before our fifth anniversary? (I still remember that one because all Art could afford for me was a single red rose after we spent most of the morning in pediatrics because they were sick).

Was it when the kids became school age? Or I went back to school to finish up my associate's degree?

When we moved to Alaska? During the kids' teen years? When we moved to Andrews AFB?

Maybe it started racing when they went off to college?

I don't know where its gone.....but it seems like just yesterday - I was standing at the altar marrying the only guy I'd ever kissed or dated.....and now....here it is ..... 28 years later.

Time sure goes by fast!

Peg

I feel like time is passing by so fast too. It doesn'nt seem that long ago when my kids were babies, now they are 10 and 8 and growing up so fast! :(

Oh, I'm SO sorry, I totally forgot the say congratulations!:foreheadsmack:

Happy Anniversary! :party0002:

Your timeline is so heart warming Peg. You may feel old, but staying married that long is a huge accomplishment, especially in this day and age.
You're not old. You are seasoned, mature & wise :D
HUGE congrats and I wish y'all 28 more years!

Hugs,
~Sealy

You have no idea how much that means to me....I think I'm going to write that down in my Bible or something to remember!

You are welcome Peg. My heart really goes out to you tonight in light of all that is going on with you today.
I understand feeling older. When I was younger I thought the older people were crazy when they said they didn't want to go back to a younger age. Now I know why.
I thought I was the oldest person in the world when my son graduated High School and joined the Navy and then got married!
After feeling sorry for myself for a bit about getting older, I realized how much I have learned and grown over the years with my age. I now cherish the wisdom and maturity and seasoning that comes with growing older. I now inderstand what I once thought was crazy talk. And I too wouldn't go back in time age wise ( would like a younger body but that's beside the point :p )
You hang in there and celebrate your age and continue using your seasoning to help all the younger ones find there way. :)

Hugs,
~Sealy

Well, I wound up making us some spaghetti w/ Italian sweet sausage and it was SOOOO good.....

We stayed home and it was nice to just relax here at home.

The nice thing about being married this long is you don't feel like you have to do something really "special". Just being together is sometimes "special enough"....

:biggrin2:
