Kara isn't eating. She hasn't ate food since I got her 5 days ago. She will eat hay and greens and I'm using the food she use to eat. Shes breathing funny and making a whining noise a lot. She has liquidy poo and I don't want her to die but I don't have a vet that I know is open weekends...

I'd try and restrict her to just hay for a day and see if she likes tummy rubs (after getting over the initial shock of being picked up, put on your lap and flipped over that is).

You can also give her some simethicone gas meds.

It may be a digestive upset from stress.

It may also be a respiratory or dental issue or something else, but see how she does with the hay.

ETA: Just re-read the post, the breathing funny part may be an infection, so she will need to see a vet for antibiotics asap if that's the case. Is is a whimper from stress or is it more of a wheeze? Any nasal discharge?

sas :clover:

Its a wheeze. No discharge. She snores when she sleeps but right now its not the same sound much more of a wheeze. I'm going to take her to the vet when I can which will be Monday or Tuesday... but I'll try what you suggested until then.

The lady fed her buns in a alternating fashion of two different foods. Since Kara won't eat this food we are going to try the other one and see if she will eat it.

One good news! She is eating this food. Purina Show Chow I think it is called. But we can only find it locally in 50lb bags so my dad bought a 50lb bag because he didn't want her to starve. As soon as I gave her some she boxed the dish out of my hand and went to it.

Great! That's the same feed we fed our buns for years and they did very well on it! Glad to hear she's going better-I was so worried when I heard she wasn't doing well!

hehe, sounds like your dad's becoming as much of a bunny lover as all of us here!

I'm SO glad she's eating again :D

I recommend splitting the 50 lb bag into big ziplock bags and getting as much air as possible out of them, then storing as many as will fit in the fridge so that they stay fresher for longer. (I wouldn't put any in the freezer, though - http://www.3bunnies.org/feeding.htm#pellets says that's bad for them)

Yay for Kara!!!! I's so glad she's doing better.
