A few months ago, probably about 2. I fainted in line at Wal-mart. Their 'First aid' Girl was super rude to my mom and actually walked away from us. That week we went to my doctor and he said there was nothing wrong with me I probably hadn't eaten that day ( Which I did, I had breakfast with mom and this happend around..2 )

A few night's after that, mom went out with her friend to get coffee and mom and her friend were going to come back so that mom could keep an eye on me. During the 15 minutes the two we're gone I got up to make some popcorn and watch a movie that was on the TV. I got up, and immedietly felt like I was going to faint again, I sat back down and got up a few minutes later and still felt dizzy.

I called mom, she dropped her friend back at her house and came to pick me up and we went to CHEO. Well, I waited..12 hours.. and I was still going to wait another 4 until I was going to be seen. It wasn't even that packed but it was around the cold that was going around and they have this rule where the baby's and kids under 3 get checked first.

Not that that's a bad thing but come on, I was waiting 12 hours but yet a girl came in, because her baby had a chough . And another girl on the other side of me was there to ask if they could circumsize her son. ( YES, at 1 am :foreheadsmack:)

We ended up leaving because well, I felt alot better. Having waiting 12 hours and all.

Last night my brother, his fiance and I went to rent a movie and I felt dizzy, it was crazy.. I thought I was going to faint right there.

Still, the doctor's think nothing of it.

Did they ever do blood tests? Could you be anemic? Do you eat a lot of iron rich foods like red meat, green vegetables?

How old are you?

I used to pass out in my 20's. It happened for a few years; I had a 24 hour holter moniter on to see what was going on; they never found anything.

I eventually outgrew it for the most part; I sometimes feel like I am going to but have learned how to manage it, usually if I get up too fast. It's supposedly a change in blood pressure. For the most part, I did outgrow it.

I used to faint. It was usually due to getting an shot (I really don't like needles) or overheating.

For you, I would probably get a blood test. If you have a family dr, go the them, if not try a walk in clinic (better chance of getting seen). They should give you the paperwork for a blood test. I don't know what the system is like in Ontario, but get an appt for the blood work if you can. You won't have to wait for hours like if you just went in. Book as early as you can to avoid a rush. They may want to do a fasting test, so you can't eat 10 hours before the test, if that happens, ge for the test as early as you can in the morning.

I hopw you feel better. Fainting sucks.

By all measns, make a doctor's appt.

In the meantime, start carrying some food with you at all times. Everyone's body gets hungry at different times. Carry granola bars, apples and water, to start with. Maybe bag of carrot sticks. I am someone who gets hungry, and if I don't eat I feel horrible and dizzy.

Regulate your eating to start with. If you have a family history of diabetes, perhaps you are experiencing major spikes in blood sugar. Ask the doctor about this.

Get the proper amount of sleep. At 14, your body is growing in all sorts of weird physical and chemical ways. 8 hours at least.

Also, make sure that you are breathing properly. A lot of people tend to slump down and hunch over. When I have not been sitting up, or slumped in some position for a long period of time doing homework, then get up quickly, I feel very dizzy. The answer to this is deep, strong breathing, all the time.

The slow chant of "Haaaam Saaaah" is how it feels to be breathing at your best. Inhale on the ham, release on the sah, nice and slow. You will likely find that you feel more calm and alert after doing properbreathing, using all of your lungs. (Courtesy of my singing coach once upon a time...)

I am not someone who followstrendy medical advice in magazines or whatever. Thisis what works for me. :)

I used to get dizzy a lot, mine was from inner ear problems, which messed up my balance. At its worst, I had days when I couldn't walk in a straight line, I veered off to one side no matter how hard I tried.

I have pretty bad allergies year round, and I had polyps in all my sinus cavities. The polyps put pressure on my ears, and also caused me to have really severe sinus infections. (For awhile, I couldn't blow my nose, because I would start to feel faint, and my vision started going black.) The first time I had surgery to remove the polyps, the doctor said it was the worst he'd ever seen. I had to have another surgery, a year and a half later, because they started to grow back. Now I'm on 3 allergy meds to control the allergies and to try to prevent future polyps.

Anyway, I don't know if an inner ear infection or sinus infection could cause actual fainting, but it can cause dizziness.

I would suggest charting it. That will help you identify if there are any triggers. Keep a food diary, a diary of symptoms, also if you have started your periods, all that too, you might find a link to lack of food/a particular food/time of the month, something like that.

But yes, make a docs appointment. They should do a blood test, take your blood pressure and stuff.

I've had two blood test's since, and nothing came up. There's only one person in my family with Diabetes, which is my Uncle whos, 53 and he JUST got it or found out.. I can't remember.

The doctor's said my heart skips every second beat, which is weird. He said it's nothing to worry about.

Any chance it could be anxiety related? Like were you panicking or anxious before it happened? Did they take your blood pressure?
