Olivia was doing a DBF and I noticed a spot on her hind leg, so I took her out of her cage to see it. She has this spot on both hind legs. Its red and irritated looking. What is this and what do I do. I know this pic isnt great quality but it's really hard to get her to sit still to take a picture of it

Looks like it may be an irritated/sore hock issue.

Is Olivia a rex by any chance?
They're prone to sore hocks.

Clean it up and put some Neosporin or Bag Balm on it....Utterly Smooth is good too.

If she's got a wire bottom cage, make sure she's got somewhere to rest off of it.
A fleece, blanket, towel or resting board will help.

Check her nails, too. If they're long they can cause her to lean back on her hocks.

Thank you so much!!! Yes she is a Rex. She is 1 year old. Her cage is plastic on the bottom and wire on the top. I will put her blanket in there just to make her more comfortable. I noticed she's been licking at it too. Is it ok if she licks the neosporin off?

It shouldn't harm her if she licks it.

Use the original Neosporin...not the one with pain relief!

Don't put too much on..... and rub it in a bit.

Ok :) I checked her nails and they are good. I clipped a little bit off of them. But i couldnt take but so much off. I am really good about keeping her nails clipped. I clean her cage daily, so I dont think that is the reason for this. I guess its just because she is a Rex. My poor girl :(

They don't look too bad.

As I mentioned, rexies are prone to getting sore hocks. Even carpeting can be irritating for their hocks. They don't have the same thick padded fur on their feet as most other breeds.

Kudos to you for being so observant and catching it before it got too bad!!:goodjob

Clean 'em...treat 'em...and keep an eye on 'em.

Thank you for your help. This is all new to me. But I do watch her all the time. The areas are pretty small. My husband thinks I'm crazy because I'm so quick to take her to the vet when I notice something is wrong. But, you dont have much time to play with when it comes to bunnies. Part of it is because I'm still traumatized my her seizure. Here is a recent pic of her so you can see what she looks like instead of just her feet :)
