My rat babies !
After much thinking, I am going with my heart and told Ryan that I am making my own decision for once...and getting my two rat babies.
They are ready on June 1st, but my friend Emily and I will be going to pick them up on June 8th . We have to drive 80 miles one way to pick them up!
They are 17 days old now and the cutest things ever. There are actually 4 boys in the litter, but I decided that 7 rats in the house is too much for me...so I am only getting 2 boys...which will mean I will have 5 rats .
Pictures :
Boy #1: The girl thinks he has ruby eyes and is a Verigated Cocoa or Chocolate color w/head spot...
Boy #2: Either Verigated Chocolate or Cocoa capped w/head spot, with black eyes...
The girl, Fran, has handled them from birth...so they are super charming! I decided to go with my heart because she really needed homes for this rescue litter from Petco that someone dumped off. She still has 10 babies left to rehome. Some of the girls in the litter are just adorable, but I don't want to have to spay girls...too risky for me.
These two boys will go in my Super Pet Exotics cage, then in a few weeks once the Rat Nation cage is released (I hope in a few weeks)....I will start intro's and they can all hopefully live together peacefully :biggrin2:.
