I'm so frustrated, I can't keep Abby in hercage. She has figured out how to open every type of clip I'veused on her door. She lives in a NIC condo. Everymorning, she's hopping around the critter room. I put herback in and when I get home from work, she's out again. I'mthinking I'm going to have to consider moving her into another type ofcage.

JimD actually suggested that i use those rockclimbing clips for the doors (i use binder clips right now) so that mylittle brother cant open it ..im opposed to the locks b/c godforbid imnot home and theres a fire or something any kind of lock would pose aproblem...

they are on the top left

Honest I am notlaughing at you , norealy Im not lol .

what a cheeky littlething she is , I do know onekind she shouldnt beable to get off its a D ringwith a nut that screws onto a bolt, I really think you hadbetter check and see whois helping her with all thetoolsthat gets clips undone tho. Mission Impossable , Not as Long asAbby is working the locks .lol

Gypsy: I can't believe I didn't think to usethose for her, that's exactly what I use for Sampson, although, he oncefigured out how to get out past those with the help of mydogs. LMBO

I'll have to get one of those, but she's into those covert ops, I'm notsure those will keep her in. She's just a brat aboutit. The door closes when she gets out, so when I come intothe room, she sits at the cage door and begs to go in and get her foodand water. LOL Ok, now I'm finding the whole thingvery funny. Feel free to laugh at me.

DOnt worry, Gir learned how to open his door until we got the MEGA binder clip =p

The 'rock climbing' graspy thingies you can actually get at a hardwarestore near where they make keys (not to be used for actual rockclimbing) I have two that I use for my lovely work keys

Another option is the clip from a dog'sleash. That's what I use on Loki's cage. You have adog, so you might have a spare one laying around already.

I have those clipson a round pen for myrabbits too only problem is Ihave one rabbit that if it isnt turnedoutwards She can get it to pop open.

Sounds just like Emmy. :disgust:

Now she can't go out of her cage because she can't go past those binder clips!

MUWHHA! :p

I use the carabiners as FreddysMom stated. I have ones that are about 1 1/2 inched and are use for keys.

Rosie-roo had figured out how to undo the latch on her Wabbitatcage. I would come downstairs in the morning and she wouldgreet me in the halway or in the bunnie room..."Good Morning Daddy!Lookie what I can do!!".

I found that the carabiner worked best and if you get really good you can open it with one hand.

Oh no Jen. Abby never did that to me. Wonder whyshe would do that. Maybe she is missing us. I really hope you don'thave to give her up at all. I feel so bad for you. Let me see if Istill have a pic of how I had her door set up with binder clips.

Jen how do you have the crids set up as a door.I overlap them so they can stay shut better. Here is a sample that isthe best one I have and I use the binder clips that people use fornewspapers and put them in the skiny part of the grid to keep the doorclose and Abby never got out unless I opened them.
