I'm a nonny. My son has a bun. I couldn't be more nutz about a bun. I was pissed when the bun came home. He was an impulse that my son tends to have, he loves animals like me. He absolutely cannot help himself. He's 20. Girls get your fuzzy bun loving man right here!

Bun was young. He was too young to sex. The pet store told us that he was 8 weeks, but Nonny seriously doubts that. Nonny went out and spent bout a hunnerd dollars on things that the baby would need. Starting with the largest cage for a bunny available. Meh, there's larger, but Robbie lives in a 35 RV and he plans to House Rabbit this baby.

So we did the litterbox thing. We made the spot for the peepee. Problem is the peepee happens on the couch. So pre-neuter, we compromise. We've lined the sofa with peepee pads covered by towels...with a folded towel on that, cause it seems soft folded things are peepeelicious.

And we learn here that Jovi is a Holland Mini Lop.

Jovi grows. He's such a lover. He stands no chance of being a hater. We start him slowly. A little green here, some orange bell pepper there. I grow him a garden, parsley, kale and carrot tops. The winter was not kind, but we managed. Banana is the shiznet.

Buntocks are pretty awesome don't you think?

This photo my son sent to me on my cell phone. My husband and I were working a long weekend of tournaments and 14 hour days. We own an American Poolplayer's Association Franchise, so sometimes this is required. Because Rob's RV is on the property, I visit him every single day. I make his salad and make sure that he has plenty of hay and pellets. Sometimes the big kid forgets to keep him in hay. I'm also going out there to snorgle him. Lots. Several times a day. So Robbie tells me that this pic is of him wondering where his Nonny went. He was staring at the door willing her home.

I hope the neuter goes well and you get a better behaved bunn out of it :) It can take a few weeks but you should start to see some good changes :) He certainly seems to be full of spunk anyway :)

Ugh! My bunny blog's been hijacked. I wonder WHO did that? Perhaps the same person that hijacks my facebook when I leave it logged in? Yeah it's that naughty face in the first post. The sitting on the sofa photo is cute, but I think I'll do some editing...

Let's see if this will work:

Jovi's winks here. It looks like I'll need to work on figuring out videos. He's going for his neuter Wednesday morning. I'm a little bothered. I just don't want anything to go wrong. I know that we feed him all the way up to the surgery, but is there anything I shouldn't feed or anything I should know besides having him a towel lined carrier to come home in and a fresh towel lined cage to recover?

Just try to make sure he drinks before he goes in as well. My vet let me bring some of his hay in and he had that after the surgery to nibble on. So I suggest just taking a handful of his hay/food with so it's there for him when he wakes up if he wants to eat :)

I'm sure it will all go well.

I brought in hay, pellets, and my rabbit's favourite fruits/veggies (even some banana). I wanted him to start eating as soon as possible.

But you have a boy, boy's are easy - the surgery is very fast. I am sure he will be fine :)

Well...Bun Jovi is not going to get a neuter. Nothing dropped because Bun Jovi is a girl. From this day forward she is known as Bun Joviette. Still Jovi for short, because that's what she knows, but we opted out of the spay. She's barely 5 months old and a spay is so intrusive, we'd rather wait until she's filled out more and can better tolerate the anesthesia.

Yeah that was pretty shocking! Guess I'll be crocheting little pink bunny headbands now. I was told at the vets office that females tend to be more aggressive than males. Even after a spay. I dunno about that. Jovi is pretty sweet, she only cops attitude when it's time to go into her cage...or she's being territorial of her cage. Wow...typing she after calling him my little man these past few months is truly strange...LOL

We finished building Jovi's new condo yesterday. She's quite proud of it. It has already been thoroughly chinned. She is especially happy with her new 2nd story loft. The carpet that we covered it with is a rubber backed square tile of carpet. I'm going to put another in the bottom too so she can get a good traction for leaping into the loft. We had some vinyl flooring just sitting around that we covered the bottom with. We opted out of the ramp at this time because she doesn't really need one, she's plenty springy enough to get up there. The only thing, I didn't know that the NIC grids came with two sizes of squares on the grid. So a lot of the white ones were wasted. At $27 for the box, I opted to use some of the black ones that we had sitting around the house. My husband built an excellent tray for the bottom of the cage and we put some casters on it so we could move and vacuum underneath. Jovi's happy and we're all just as happy to see her pleased.

My how she's grown! It's been awhile since I've updated. I do peek in, but between work and facebook, well you know.

Jovi is a full fledged stinker. She's hormonal. She's still quite lovable though. I imagine she snickers right before she does something naughty. Like when she jumped the inside fence and got up under the dash of Robbie's RV. We haven't started it yet, so I hope she's chewed no wires. That would render us useless.

Robbie's going on a 3 day trip to visit friends, so I'm thinking that's a good time to get her spayed and bring her inside

Jovi: Nonnie's house to recuperate. He that young guy plays loud music and watches Fox News too, Nonnie's house is good for abundant salads and peace and quiet. Nonnie makes her salads everyday anyhow, so Jovi knows what loves.

Nonnie: $135 for a recommended rabbit savvy vet, bun Jovi might feel like she's been to the spa!? Hardly, but Nonnie takes care.

$135 is pretty good for a spay, Bandit's neuter (rabbit savvy) was $95 and they charge an extra 100 if it was a spay.

Best of luck with the spay, the 3 days Robbie is away does sound like a good time to get it done. She will be a bit sore for a while, but hopefully she'll bounce back quickly (just with a little less attitude).

Just caught up on here and she is a little cutie. It must have been so funny that he was a she. I say that but my little she turned out to be a he, I can tell you I was surprised when they dropped.

Her new condo is lovely, hope she´s settled in and enjoying the extra space.

It would be a good idea to get the spay out of the way when Robbie´s away. Girls do take a bit longer to get over it than boys but I´m sure she´ll be fine.
